Potholes to Potbelly!!!

The picture I am attaching is synonym to what we are going to discuss today! Yeah, this is sure to be interesting. This post was ignited by our very own NDTV news telecase, which showed the city of Hyderabad as a "Pothole City". Now, I was wondering was it specific to this city, or was it generic to India. And yes, this phenomenon was generic throughout India. Upon closely arguing with myself over the deteriorating condition of these roads, I got the answer. The potholes are due to pot bellies. Yes, the money which is supposed to even out the potholes are going down the throat of "corrupt" and "indifferent" politicians, and thats the reason for their pot-bellies.

Fun apart, these messages do need to get seriously to the public servants. Even after 60 years of Independence, if the common man does not get enough courage to stand up against this injustice, I am scared about the future. Whatever effort these bollywood people do make (now and then) with movies like "Rang De Basanti" would only be taken as an entertainment evening, rather than thinking about the message being portrayed.

The question that haunts me is, am I in the first place serious to counter this injustice done to me? hmm....answer may be, "may be not enough", but still, I am firm believer that these things have to be set right one day. The generation that's sleeping must awaken. If I would have been a businessman, I would have thought about seriously, to open a fitness center, that would only allow pot-bellied politicians and policemen into the center, and I am sure, I would have a long queue from the "Hitech City" to "Jubilee Hills Checkpost" :) (for those who know the Hyderabad- happening City)..
