Turn the music ON.....

So, my dream music system has arrived. It's a Sony AZ3DM, which has 2200 W of PMPO, with RMS Quality (Sony patented) and has extra-ordinary sound clarity due to it's VACS (Variable Attenuation Control System) and the mp3 songs are just too crystal clear to hear!! It has a DVD/VCD/MP3/Tape and host of other features like touch-screen to change controls. But the one that tops my list is it's unique PC streaming (with a USB cable) and also support to play Sony Microvault (USB based Pen Drive)...so no need to bother writing cds of MP3 Songs. Just plug in the USB and be ready...

Now I need to buy this Microvault, probably deals2buy should help. This one did burn my pocket...but I am that kind of a guy, you can say, an impulsive shopper. Some of the products purchased impulsively like the Teleshopping's 5 in 1 Sofa, heat massager etc. have met failure. The 5-in-1 sofa is a funny experience, it was supposed to be filled with air and that's it, just move it around your house, and within no time, you can make 5 different shapes. Unfortunately, a hole is all that was needed to pack it up and put it in the rack :( The heat massager is still lying in one corner, as I dont' have time to even try that out.

I do control impulsive shopping but sometime, they just get out of control. I am not that kind who sits back and think for that mistake..it's just a mistake, and need to be learnt that a little bit of analysis is all that is required before any purchase that can burn your purse. I follow that now. I know this is not the time to put on that CD to say....."uski aankhon mein baaten, baton mein jaddoooooooooooooo" but my neighbour's are fast asleep, so let me turn this on as soon as I get up tomorrow...Good Night buddies............

Football Frenzy

This month and next one are going to be very interesting. I just had my first glimpse of the FIFA football world cup, and watched the match between Sweden and Trinidad&Tobago. I missed the England match, and wanted to get the world cup feeling sink in. As Harsha said in his post-match interview in ESPN, it was one team who were attacking, and one team defending. No prizes for guessing, but if attacking with 11 men, cannot surpass the defence of 10 men (one guy from Trinidad team was shown red card right at the start of second half), then I would genuinely say, Trinidad and Tobago won the match, ofcourse morally.....

Talking of football, I remember when I used to come home early from my first job, to watch the football match in 2002. Talking of ever-green memories, I still remember the 1998 World Cup Final match between France and Brazil. Not sure why, but I was rooting for France on that day, and wow, didn't they make me proud???? However, in general, I am a great fan of the English style (Beckham one of my favourite), and Brazil for it's simple rule (to win!!!!).

When I rewind the flashback, I too had played football during my school days. We almost always LOST ;) primarily because of one superior player in the class, V.B.Shiva Prasad. He was one dark horse, who would just keep rolling the ball over, until it is behind the net. Frankly, I didn't have great hopes on myself on sport activities, involving too much of physical strain. I was topper at studies though ;) so that evened out.

Party Time

We are all going to Koyla.... this is one restaurant in Hyderabad, which has of-late been synonymous with great food and good ambience. We have decided to extract the treat from Nikhil and Sandy who are pursuing their interests, and leaving Oracle, from here. I am feeling already hungry!!!

We used to have lots of parties, when Anjalee was around. We used to have a monthly POA lunch, and have almost explored all good restaurants. However, once she left Oracle, it's been quite subdued, and me too, not being an extrovert, I feel left out from that fun! The GANG which makes all this fun is almost gone, but still the memories linger around. Thinking of it, probably, I should thank to Hyderabad, which has a cosomopolitan look and feel, and as the team comprises of people from all over India, this gives a good opportunity to have lot of fun.

I experiment with food that I take when I venture out. Must would be a butter naan and a aloo-dum curry, but I also put my hand on masala kulchas and capsicum curry, some biryani and end up with a chilling ice-cream. Wow, mouth-watering isn't it? I love the food at hyderabad, its really good. A Sample pic is uploaded here ;)

We have decided to have dinner's instead of luncheons, primarily due to the fact that luncheons normally extend beyond 2 hours, leading to a sizeable gap in our work schedule. However, dinners are so cool, as you are free to take your own time to nibble something extra...hey pass on the papad man!!!! :)

Indian Cinema - Emotion Packed Experience

Watching an Indian Cinema is an experience in itself. May be I am grown up watching all these Telugu/Tamil/Hindi movies, which provide quite a bit of dose in the form of songs, every 20 mts or so, you never feel bored or tired watching a movie, unless the script is terrible. Yes, I do have some "very bad" experience of storylines as well. For instance, take Johnny, starring Pavan Kalyan, there was a craze in the city to catch the first glimpse of the movie, the tickets were being sold for more than 500 bucks in black. I somehow, struggled, and got a ticket. I went on day 1, noon show, may be thatz the "horrible" decision I have ever made.

The story was that of a street fighter who discovers his wife is dying of Cancer. The storyline was weak, and the characters were dumb as a rubber duck. Their emotions on the big screen were never visible, and it was one hell of an experience. I got assured that I am a normal man, and it was not a one-sided experience, the movie BOMBED!!!!

On the same scale, I have another movie, Aditya 369, which I must have watched 10s of times, in my childhood, it was intriguing and keeps you fully seated and enthralled to watch it. Ofcourse, now I am a member of the "we hate balayya" orkut group, but in my childhood days, I loved this movie.

Talking of movies, couple of days back, I got a chance to re-watch Arya (see a clip in the image), may be 3rd time. Again, it made me cry!!! Oh poor heart mine is, I take the dialogues literally, and possibly think that I am in that person's shoes!! I appreciate those sort of movies, which moves you, you rather than watching the movie, move along that person itself.....

I have an interesting experience of a hollywood movie as well.....In SFO, when I was in Oct 2003, I got a chance to go to "Mystic River" along with a gang of 4 friends. I am sure it won an Oscar in some category like best supporting actor or something, but I thought I would give a special award to the person who composed music to this movie. After getting used to Indian Cinema all these years, with lots of songs to keep you awake, Mystic River was a totally contrasting experience for me. My friend had to wake me up in between (may be he heard my snore or something ;)) It was one fun of an experience. I dare not watch "non-action thriller" movies of hollywood, in theater anymore.

However, I am not a movie buff. In my entire growing up years, like between 1996 to 2002, I only watched 1 movie, Titanic in the theatres. I do catch up with latest releases, through some DVDs, but somehow did not manage to go to theaters. But once I am here in Hyderabad, movies have become regular, though bit subdued again now, due to lack of friend circle but probably would improve with time. Indian Cinema is always good, irrespective of 0 logic that they show on screen, I would always chose one enthralling Indian Cinema experience rather than a mundane no-song no-dialogue no-music silent english one ;)

Daily Dose

OK. Sorry to say the same thing once too often....I 'm BACK!! Life in Software field leaves very little time for personal reasons, and this is being seen in the lacklustre maintenance of this blog from my side. But I am going to change it.

Starting today, everyday, post lunch, would be updating one fact/event/thing that has impacted me. May be that way, when I my footprints would have covered a long distance, it would be good to turn back on these and see how they went through.

So, life is cool in the current company. However, therez lot of retrenchment happening around me...lot of my friends are dropping their last day mails, lots of them leaving their e-mail addresses... Its sometime emotional to see your friends move away to a different city, in search of better than what was here, and I have learnt to take each of them in a positive way. One big thanks to Orkut, I am not going to lose contact with them. They would still be scrapping in my book and I would do in reverse, so the bridge is only physical.

Couple of events happened when I wasn't blogging here. One of my childhood crush ;) ;) searched me through orkut and has added me!! Unfortunately, she has gained this courage after getting married :) Anyways, I am very happy for her, for settling down in life, and searching me out specifically from the sea of people!!! Kudos to you baby ;)

Next, looks like my next few weeks would be spent in match-making ;) yeah, my parents have almost brooded down my neck to post my horo in the tamil website, and I am getting some responses too!! Pretty surprised huh!! Gals look good, but I am in a no mood to catch somebody!! Other than this, life is cool in Hyderabad. Temperature has almost dropped now to around 30 degrees...its just the perfect date for a bike ride around the city! In another couple of days, it may start raining...hey I need to buy couple of rain-sheeters...for now, its fun time and highly enjoyable moment :)
